Rebekah opened Serendipity Hair Studio in 2013 with the belief that an exceptional salon experience is just as important as a beautiful haircut and color. Her vision was to create a space where every guest receives the highest level of service, care, and attention from start to finish.

With over 23 years of experience as a stylist in the Midlothian area, Rebekah has also trained with global artists across the United States, and her work has been featured in local magazines and photography publications. She is especially passionate about cutting and coloring, and she loves creating complete, cohesive looks tailored to each guest.

As both an owner and stylist, Rebekah remains deeply grounded and dedicated, with her guests and salon team always her top priority. Her commitment to both people and craft is at the heart of everything she does, making her a trusted and dependable presence within the industry and her community.

Cheree joined Serendipity in 2023, relocating to Richmond from Boise, Idaho. With a background rooted in innovation, professionalism, and creativity, she brings a thoughtful and modern approach to her craft.

She values education and clear communication as the foundation of every guest experience, using both to guide personalized recommendations and achieve beautifully tailored results. Cheree specializes in weft hair extensions, offering customized solutions designed to add natural-looking length, volume, and density while maintaining the health and integrity of the hair. Her approach is focused on seamless blending, comfortable wear, and results that move and style effortlessly with natural hair.

Whether enhancing fullness with weft extensions, creating sun-kissed, lived-in blondes, or refining bold, fashion-forward cuts, Cheree is dedicated to delivering elevated, personalized results with precision and care.

Jillian joined Serendipity in 2015. She has always had a creative flair for the arts and loved fashion growing up. After serving in the United States Air Force, she followed her dream and completed cosmetology school in Maine. Jillian is deeply committed to the evolving trends and continuing education of her craft. Her true passion is creative color: balayage, color-melting, and ombre, she’s been trained in it all. Jillian is creative and passionate about her trade and each guest that sits in her chair! 

 In addition to her work behind the chair, Jillian proudly serves as the Apprenticeship Educator at Serendipity, where she leads, mentors, and inspires the next generation of stylists. She is passionate about education and takes pride in creating a supportive, hands-on learning environment that helps emerging artists grow in confidence, skill, and creativity.

Leah joined Serendipity in 2016 and is a highly experienced Master Stylist with a true passion for working with all hair types and textures. Aveda-trained, she specializes in precision razor cutting for both men and women, bringing softness, movement, and effortless shape to every look.

Her dedication to her craft has taken her to international hair shows and advanced education, including training with Nick Arrojo of What Not to Wear. Leah is known for her thoughtful, attentive approach—she is an exceptional listener, and her guests consistently appreciate her ability to understand their needs and translate them into personalized, wearable results and practical haircare solutions.

Stacey joined Serendipity in 2017 and has continued to elevate her craft through advanced training with world-renowned artists and ongoing education in the latest trends and techniques. She brings both passion and precision to her work, always staying inspired by the ever-evolving world of hair design.

She specializes in customized color and expertly crafted variations of bobs and short haircuts, creating looks that are both modern and tailored to each guest. Known for her meticulous attention to detail, Stacey combines technical skill with a patient, thoughtful approach.

Her focus on individuality allows her to design styles that not only enhance each guest’s features but also reflect their personal style with confidence and creativity.

Jessica joined Serendipity in 2015 during the final stage of her cosmetology training, seeking an apprenticeship program that offered a higher level of advanced education and hands-on experience. She has been in the industry since 2013 and successfully completed her apprenticeship in 2015.

Her refined artistic eye is reflected in every aspect of her work. Jessica is especially passionate about highlighting and haircutting, and she also excels in creating elegant evening and special occasion styles. She is now also trained in weft hair extensions, allowing her to offer customized solutions for added length, volume, and seamless, natural-looking results.

She takes great pride in the transformation process and loves the confidence boost that comes with giving each guest a fresh, new look. Dedicated to growth and excellence, Jessica continues to pursue ongoing education and remains excited to evolve her skills and artistry throughout her career.

Brie joined Serendipity in 2021 after relocating to Richmond from her hometown in Maryland. She began her career and training while still in high school, building a strong foundation under the guidance of several highly skilled stylists.

She has a true passion for balayage and creating beautifully customized color that enhances each guest’s natural features and personal style. Brie is known for forming genuine connections with her guests, taking the time to understand their lifestyle, personality, and hair goals to deliver a truly personalized experience.

Committed to growth and excellence, she prioritizes continued education to stay current with modern techniques and evolving trends. Above all, Brie’s goal is for every guest to leave her chair feeling confident, refreshed, and their absolute best.

With over eight years of experience behind the chair, Mackenzie is passionate about creating customized looks that help every guest feel confident and beautiful. After earning her cosmetology license in Harrisonburg, Virginia, she completed an intensive associate program under the mentorship of accomplished master stylists, building a strong foundation in both technique and guest care.

Mackenzie specializes in hair color, from dimensional blonding and lived-in color to vibrant fantasy shades and enjoys working with all hair types and textures. She is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive experience where every guest feels comfortable, valued, and cared for. Through ongoing education, Mackenzie continues to refine her skills and stay current with the latest trends and techniques to provide exceptional results.

Laura joined Serendipity in 2017, beginning her journey in the industry through our apprenticeship program where she pursued her passion for helping others feel confident and beautiful. From the start, her goal has been to enhance the natural beauty of each guest and create looks that reflect their individuality.

After training under Serendipity’s master stylists, she earned her cosmetology license in July 2020. Laura enjoys working with all hair types and has a strong passion for all aspects of color, including balayage and highlighting techniques.

Committed to continued education and professional growth, she consistently expands her knowledge to ensure every guest receives a thoughtful, elevated, and personalized experience.

Grace has always had a huge passion for art and creative design. Her journey began in welding school, where she discovered how much she loved crafting and designing with her hands. That passion eventually led her to the world of hair design, where she has been able to combine creativity with connection.
Grace is proud to have completed Serendipity Hair Studio’s renowned cosmetology apprenticeship program in 2024, where she trained under some of the best stylists in the industry. Every day, she strives to grow as a stylist by continuing to learn new techniques and stay inspired.
What she loves most about her work is connecting with people. Hearing her guests' stories, their trials and triumphs, and helping them feel their absolute best is what drives her daily. Grace believes in creating a comfortable, down-to-earth environment where her guests feel valued and cared for. Her compassionate, loyal approach ensures every guest leaves feeling seen, heard, and beautiful.

Riley's passion for hair began at an early age and has continued to grow throughout her career. She started her journey in the beauty industry at just 14 years old as a salon runner and apprentice at Serendipity, where she trained under owner and Elite Master Designer Rebekah. During high school, Riley attended the Chesterfield Technical Center, where she earned her cosmetology license.

Now, with five years as part of the Serendipity team, Riley remains dedicated to expanding her knowledge and refining her craft through ongoing education and hands-on experience. She is passionate about helping every guest feel refreshed, confident, and relaxed from the moment they sit in her chair.

Riley's favorite services combine precision haircutting and customized hair color to create beautiful, personalized results. She especially enjoys completing each appointment with a polished blowout and style, ensuring every guest leaves feeling their absolute best. Her goal is to provide a welcoming, relaxing salon experience while creating hair her guests love.

Ryna joined Serendipity in 2019 and has been the driving force behind the studio’s daily operations ever since. With more than a decade of experience in guest relations, she is dedicated to ensuring that every guest receives the exceptional service and personalized experience that define Serendipity.

Her passion for building genuine connections, combined with her love for the beauty industry, makes her an invaluable part of the Serendipity team. Whether she’s assisting guests, supporting the salon team, or helping create a seamless experience behind the scenes, Ryna is committed to making everyone feel welcomed and cared for.

Outside of the studio, Ryna is a devoted foodie and music lover who is always on the hunt for her next great meal or live concert. When she’s not exploring local restaurants or enjoying live music, she loves spending quality time with family and friends.

 Cheryl joined the Serendipity team in 2018, but her connection to the salon began years earlier as a loyal guest starting in 2013. Her firsthand experience with the Serendipity culture and guest experience makes her a natural fit for the front desk team.

With a strong background in customer service and a genuine passion for connecting with people, Cheryl is dedicated to ensuring every guest feels welcomed, valued, and cared for from the moment they walk through the door. Whether she's assisting over the phone or greeting guests in person, her warm personality and attention to detail help create the exceptional experience Serendipity is known for.

When she's not at the salon, Cheryl enjoys spending time with her family and sharing her love of baking by creating delicious homemade treats for her teammates.

Sumayya joined Serendipity in 2024 after earning her degree from the University of Richmond. During her time with the salon, she discovered a passion for both guest care and the beauty industry, quickly becoming a valued part of the Serendipity team through her warm personality and dedication to creating exceptional experiences.

Driven by her love for skincare, wellness, and helping others feel their best, Sumayya is currently pursuing her Master Esthetics education. Sumayya genuinely enjoys building connections with guests and strives to make everyone who visits the salon feel welcomed, cared for, and radiant from the inside out. Outside of Serendipity, she enjoys traveling, staying active, shopping, and spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals for family and friends.
